Job Requirement:

 

  • Installing, configuring, and maintaining the operating system and hardware on Windows based servers.
  • Maintaining and sustaining a highly automated server OS patching processes.
  • Participating in follow the Sun support for global infrastructure servers.
  • Developing and promoting standard operating procedures.
  • Conducting audits of servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.
  • Being available to perform tasks outside normal business hours and on weekends as well as being on call for at least one week every other month.
  • Understanding of Active Directory, Centrify, OKTA, or authentication technologies.
  • Maintain patch compliance requirements of internal change management system.
  • Setup, configuration, and problem diagnostics of server hardware including RAID, mirrored disks, and SAN/NetApp.
  • Conducting audits of servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.
  • Being available to perform tasks outside normal business hours and on weekends as well as participation in a 24×7 on-call rotation.

 

Qualifications:

  • 5 years’ experience with Windows/Unix operating systemsWindows 2012/2016/2019/2022 with direct experience in diagnostics, troubleshooting, and problem solving for hardware, software, and OS.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SCCM (System Centre Configuration Manager)
  • Understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy, and Client
  • Understand and able to utilize scripting technologies such as PowerShell, Python, Bash/Korn, and any other scripting languages.
  • Experience with AWS/Azure/VMware Cloud platforms.
  • Experience with monitoring tools and requirements for servers.
  • Basic knowledge of network theory, design, and architecture
  • Familiarity of one automation tools such as Ansible, Chef, VMware Aria, Runbooks, ServiceNow, etc.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • High School Diploma/GED

 

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS or other IT/IS related major.
  • Ability to work effectively across time zones and geography.
  • Understanding of WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, WINS
  • Knowledge of remote support concepts and tools
  • Operations experience
  • Self-starter
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs.
