Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer with Data Privacy & Java Development to join our team in Phoenix for a 1-year engagement. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in designing and architecting applications specifically within the data privacy space. This role involves performing proof of concepts (POCs) on emerging technologies and third-party tools, evaluating their effectiveness, and presenting well-documented recommendations with pros and cons.

 

Key Responsibilities:

·         Design and Architect Data Privacy Solutions: Develop and implement solutions that ensure data privacy, including compliance with regulations and best practices for secure data handling.

·         Technology Evaluation: Conduct POCs on new technologies and tools within the data privacy and data management domains. Document findings and provide recommendations for integration.

·         Data Modeling: Build and optimize data models suitable for OLTP and OLAP databases, ensuring efficient storage, retrieval, and processing of sensitive data.

·         Application Development: Utilize Java and Spring Boot to develop robust, scalable applications. Integrate Python, BigQuery, and Apache Spark as needed for data processing and analysis.

·         Data Visualization and Reporting: Employ Tableau and Power BI to create dashboards and reports, translating data insights for various stakeholders.

 

Required Skills and Experience:

·         Data Privacy Expertise: Proven experience designing and architecting applications within data privacy and compliance domains.

·         Java & Spring Boot: Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot for application development.

·         Data Modeling: Expertise in building data models and implementing them on OLTP and OLAP databases.

·         Technology Evaluation: Ability to assess and document the pros and cons of new tech stacks and tools.

·         Data Processing Tools: Proficiency in Python, BigQuery, and Apache Spark.

·         Data Visualization Tools: Experience with Tableau and Power BI for reporting and visualization.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

·         Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documenting and presenting POC findings

·         Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
