Job Title: Stress Engineer – Aerospace
Location: Richardson, TX 75082
Duration: 6 Months
Work Mode: Onsite from Day One (No Remote Work)

 

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Stress Engineer with a strong background in the aerospace industry. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in stress analysis of aero structures, including static, fatigue, and damage tolerance analysis. The role requires hands-on expertise in Finite Element Analysis tools and engineering stress calculations.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
  • 10 to 18 years of experience in the Aerospace Industry as a Stress Engineer.
  • Strong understanding of stress analysis of aero structures.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of aerospace industry standards.
  • Experience in metallic and composite structural analysis.
  • Proficiency in Load and Stress Calculations and preparing technical reports.
  • Hands-on experience with Finite Element Analysis tools (e.g., Nastran, Patran).
  • Expertise in static, fatigue, and damage tolerance calculations.
  • Proficiency in PATRAN, NASTRAN, FEMAP.
  • Knowledge of MRB and SRM.
  • Experience working with CATIA V5, Enovia.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Perform static, fatigue, and damage tolerance analysis for aircraft structures using classical hand calculations.
  • Conduct stress analysis using Boeing Static and Fatigue Analysis Methodologies (Book 1, 2, and 3).
  • Utilize Boeing Stress Tools, including IAS, XSA/SA+, FEADMS, IDTAS, Moss-Duberg, and FAMOSS.
  • Analyze aircraft primary and secondary metallic structures for integrity and compliance.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and coordinate with cross-functional teams (Design, Materials & Process Engineering).
  • Ensure compliance with CFR25.571 Damage Tolerance Analysis and determine critical failure modes.
  • Extract loads from Finite Element Models and conduct structural integrity assessments.
  • Participate in customer review meetings and provide engineering stress reports to establish compliance and safety.

 

Additional Information:

  • This role does not require travel.
  • Candidates must be available onsite from day one.
  • The interview process will be conducted virtually via video interview.
