Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior MES Engineer to provide critical MES (Manufacturing Execution System) support for our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in troubleshooting, system monitoring, and providing support for systems running on the shop floor.
As a Senior MES Engineer, you will play an integral role in ensuring the smooth operation of MES systems, collaborate with the operations team to drive technical solutions, and work closely with vendors for system configurations and improvements. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of MES-related projects and enhance operational efficiency.
Duties and Responsibilities:

MES System Monitoring & Troubleshooting:
- Monitor and resolve issues related to the MES system.
- Provide technical support to ensure continuous operation of MES in manufacturing settings.

System Configuration & Support:
- Configure and support printers, barcode scanners, PBL controllers, carts, part labels, and other MES-related devices.
- Troubleshoot and configure barcode scanners.
- Provide basic network troubleshooting for MES devices and systems.

Device & Configuration Tracking:
- Maintain and track MES devices and their configurations.

Integration with Other Systems:
- Troubleshoot and support integration with external systems such as JIS, Paintshop, SAP, AIB, HMI, etc.

Project Management & Change Implementation:
- Collaborate with operations teams to gather new MES requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Work with MES vendor teams to implement required changes.
- Test, review, and validate system changes with both vendors and operations teams.
- Manage rollouts of new systems and changes, ensuring proper testing and documentation.

Work Instructions & Training:
- Develop work instructions for system use and ensure smooth knowledge transfer by training the operations team.

Sub-Project Management:
- Act as the dedicated Sub-Project Manager, coordinating with the PM team to plan, implement, and track MES-related projects
Availability Requirements:
- Flexible working schedule to address critical escalations affecting business operations.
- Available to provide support after hours and on weekends as needed.
- Willing to be part of an on-call rotation to ensure continuous system availability.
