Summary:
We are looking for a Senior SAP Integration Developer to join our SAP technical team, which is responsible for migration of our customer support systems from the Mainframe to SAP S/4, SAP sales and service cloud V2 and other cloud applications. Integration development will either used pre-delivered content from SAP or custom iFlow build. All components of the SAP BTP integration suite will be used (API management, Cloud Integration, Edge Integration cell, Event Mesh. Policy management, etc.)
What You’ll Do:
As a Senior SAP Integration Developer, you will play a pivotal role in architecting and implementing integration solutions that enable seamless communication between SAP and non-SAP systems. You will leverage BTP Integration Suite to develop robust interfaces, manage system integrations, and enhance the overall functionality of our SAP applications. This is a highly technical role with the expectation to provide hands-on development, troubleshooting, and mentoring to junior team members.
Integration Development:
Design, implement, and maintain SAP integration solutions on the BTP Integration Suite.
Develop, configure, and test interfaces for SAP and non-SAP systems using different middleware technologies (BTP Integration Suite.).
Ensure integration solutions meet business requirements and align with enterprise architecture principles.
Build and maintain end-to-end integrations between SAP S/4 and third-party applications, both cloud-based and on-premise.
Develop ABAP programs, function modules, and enhancements as part of integration processes.
Utilize standard SAP tools (IDOC, BAPI, RFC, ALE) and other custom ABAP code to support integration scenarios.
Works with the business team to understand and document legacy integrations and builds sustainable integrations in the BTP environment.
System Monitoring & Troubleshooting:
Monitor and troubleshoot integration flows.
Diagnose and resolve integration-related issues promptly to minimize system downtime.
Provide support for production incidents and perform root cause analysis for integration failures.
Collaborative Development:
Work closely with functional teams (e.g., SAP MM, SD, FICO) to understand business processes and translate them into technical integration solutions.
Collaborate with cloud teams and third-party vendors to design and implement secure, scalable, and efficient interfaces.
Participate in code reviews and ensure development follows best practices and coding standards.
Proactively suggest improvements to integration designs to ensure high performance and scalability.
Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance on integration topics.
Document integration solutions, design specifications, and troubleshooting guides for internal use.
Share knowledge and expertise on integration best practices with the wider technical team.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
8+ years of hands-on experience with SAP integration tools and technologies (CPI, PI/PO, BTP).
Strong experience in ABAP development with a focus on integration scenarios (IDOCs, RFC, BAPI, ALE).
Deep understanding of SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI), SAP Process Orchestration (PO), and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
Experience in building both synchronous and asynchronous integration scenarios across hybrid landscapes (on-premise & cloud).
Hands-on experience with SAP Cloud SDK, APIs, and web services (REST/SOAP).
Experience in monitoring tools such as SAP Solution Manager, SAP BTP, and CPI monitoring dashboards.
Familiarity with SAP integration methods (IDOC, ALE, BAPI, RFC, File-Based, SOAP, REST).
Knowledge of SAP Fiori and S/4HANA integration capabilities is a plus.
Experience with cloud integration tools like SAP API Management, SAP Graph API, or SAP Integration Suite.
Strong SQL and database skills, especially related to SAP HANA or similar databases.
Working knowledge of security protocols (OAuth, SAML, SSL) for secure integrations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with SAP S/4HANA systems or migration projects from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA.
Experience with SAP Fiori and integrating Fiori apps with SAP back-end systems.
Certifications in SAP Integration or SAP Cloud Platform are a plus.
Prior work experience in the Utility industry doing SAP integration work is an added advantage
