Position: GIS DEDVELOPER

Location: Remote  

Duration: 6+ MONTHS

Visa: USC, GC

• End CLient Location: Madison, WI
• Work Arrangement: 99% Remote [in USA]. The 1% is associated with rare (at the most, one trip a year, sometimes none) on-site visits to Madison, WI. Notice of such on-site visits will be given up to 2 weeks in advance. It is assumed the candidate will cover the costs for these on-site visits out of their rate. The rest of the time, the resource can work anywhere in the US as long as it matches working hours with the State of Wisconsin (CST).

1. The candidate addresses all of the below:
• The candidate can come to Madison, WI, once a year at their cost.
• 8+ years of ArcGIS delivery with each project showing a balance of .NET and ArcGIS work (canÆt be user/admin Arc GIS roles). Basically you want to see someone that is consistently building .NET GIS solutions.

The State of Wisconsin is seeking a Geospatial Solutions Developer Senior II. The developer will use software development programs to plan, construct, implement, and document Geographic Information System (GIS)-related tools and data components. This position requires in-depth knowledge of geospatial technology and its application in automated tool building, integration with other technologies, and scientific disciplines. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in programming techniques, application development, and the evaluation of user requests.

The developer will consult with users to gather and understand current and future business objectives. They will use industry-standard frameworks and tools to capture project requirements and convert them into logical steps for coding using languages such as .NET, C#, and JavaScript.

• The project duration is through June 30, 2025, with the possibility of extension.
