React.js Developer

Location: Irving, TX

Key Responsibilities:

1. Feature Development:

   • Build new user-facing features using React.js.
   • Develop reusable components and front-end libraries for future use.

2. Code Translation:

   • Convert designs and wireframes into high-quality, maintainable code.

3. Performance Optimization:

   • Optimize React components for performance across a wide variety of web-capable devices and browsers.

4. Collaboration & Architecture:

   • Work closely with JavaScript developers and software engineers to design and implement robust front-end and back-end architectures.
   • Maintain and update project dependencies, resolving conflicts as needed.

5. Testing & Debugging:

   • Perform browser-based debugging and performance testing using frameworks like Mocha and Jest.
   • Ensure applications are reliable and well-optimized.

6. API Integration:

   • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and modern authorization mechanisms such as JSON Web Tokens (JWT).

Required Skills & Expertise:

1. Technical Proficiency:

   • JavaScript:
     • Strong understanding of JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and object models.
     • Familiarity with modern ECMAScript specifications.
   • React.js:
     • Thorough understanding of React.js core principles.
     • Experience with popular workflows such as Flux or Redux.
     • Knowledge of tools like Webpack, Enzyme, and React Developer Tools.
   • Front-end Development:
     • Proficient in HTML, CSS, and user interface design.
     • Familiarity with performance optimization tools and strategies.

2. Development Tools:

   • Experience with Babel, Webpack, NPM, and modern build pipelines.
   • Knowledge of version control tools such as Git, SVN, or Mercurial.

3. Problem-Solving & Optimization:

   • Strong troubleshooting skills with a knack for benchmarking and optimization.

Desired Experience:

• General:
  • Proven experience as a React.js developer.
  • Familiarity with isomorphic React is a plus.
• Testing:
  • Knowledge of performance testing frameworks such as Mocha and Jest.
• Project Management:
  • Ability to manage and deliver projects effectively.
