Project Manager

Position Details:

• Role: Project Manager
• Location: Sacramento, CA
• Duration: 12–24 months

Mandatory Qualifications:

1. Experience:

   • Minimum of 6 years of broad, extensive, and increasingly responsible experience applying project management principles, methods, techniques, and tools.
   • At least 3 years as a senior PM managing large or complex IT projects.

2. Cloud-Based Solutions:

   • At least 3 years of experience (within the past 5 years) working as a PM on IT projects involving the design, development/configuration, implementation, and deployment of cloud-based solutions.

3. Certification:

   • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required.

4. Web-Based System Deployment:

   • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working as a PM on IT projects involving the design, development/configuration, implementation, and deployment of a web-based system to at least 3 geographically separate facilities (separated by firewalls).

5. California Department of Technology (CDT) Experience:

   • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with the California Department of Technology (CDT) Project Approval Lifecycle (PAL) process.

Desirable Qualifications:

1. Electronic Health Care System:

   • Experience working as a PM on an Electronic Health Care System project.

2. Agile Methodologies:

   • Professional certification in agile methodologies.

3. Advanced Degree:

   • Master’s Degree or Doctorate in a relevant field.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee IT projects involving cloud-based and web-based systems.
• Ensure adherence to the California Department of Technology’s PAL process.
• Coordinate across geographically dispersed teams and facilities.
• Communicate with stakeholders to ensure project goals are met on time and within budget.
• Implement project management best practices and methodologies, including Agile if applicable.
