Job Description –
Project Manager with Medicaid, Public Assistance, SNAP, HEAP, or Child Care.
Location: Albany, NY (Onsite)
Mandatory Qualifications:
- More than seven (7) years of experience working on complex projects with 2 or more years in a leadership role as a Project Manager.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as a PMO Project Manager.
- Minimum of one-year experience working in a PMO supporting Health and Human Services eligibility system supporting at least one of the following domains: Medicaid, Public Assistance, SNAP, HEAP, or Child Care.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Minimum experience of managing a program budget of a minimum of $100 million.
- Minimum of one (1) completed project as a project manager which is federally funded requiring project management activities to conform to federal requirements prior to project implementation (e.g., testing, deployment, pilot, and other federal program specific requirements).
- At least seven years of experience in active management of resource loaded Project Schedules and resource assignments using Microsoft Project and Microsoft Project Online, including use of VBA scripting.
- At least five years of experience managing a master project/program schedule (roll up all the workstream schedules into one program schedule).
- Five years of experience with Agile development and technical project management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least seven years of experience implementing projects utilizing industry standard system development life cycle methodologies.
- Current PMP or project management certification through Project Management Institute.
Responsibilities:
Project Management Office (PMO) working with the Program Management Lead.
This position will focus on master schedule management using MS Project Online and developing reporting and dashboard tools for Management and stakeholders.
This position will also work closely with the Operations team on budget management at the project and program level.
This position will:
- Support the priorities of the IES PMO which are: Define, deploy and mentor core project management processes; Develop Reporting, analytics and dashboard tools.
- Facilitate Resource planning and forecasting process; Maintain
consolidated Master project schedule and budget management. - Create, maintain, and manage project documentation and best practices project management methodologies, standards. and tools Metrics for project execution.
- Prepare and report on IES Program status to executive management with NYS stakeholder agencies including IES Program Director, as well as, Project Sponsors, Steering Committees, and other governance bodies.
- In addition, will support other project managers as required.
