The role of the Provisioning Product Owner involves converting business requirements from stakeholders into features and user stories for agile teams, while also managing the team backlog. The person in this position will prioritize trade-offs, clarify expectations, and approve user stories during the Agile development process. This role requires close collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders, including senior staff, department heads, and development teams, ensuring that these requirements translate into high-quality services.
This position serves as a bridge between the business and IT teams, transforming business needs into Agile tasks. The Provisioning Product Owner will collaborate with various teams to determine technical requirements, remove obstacles, set deadlines, and deliver excellent results. The ideal candidate will foster strong relationships across teams, build trust and credibility, and demonstrate effective interpersonal skills, influence, collaboration, and listening abilities.
Job Responsibilities
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Provisioning product.
• Understand the “what & why” of User Stories & Features and their impact on Operational Key Results and Customers.
• Document and communicate business requirements, including writing detailed Features with User Stories and defining Acceptance Criteria.
• Work with stakeholders and business partners to gather, analyze and define business requirements.
• Work with other product team members to translate roadmap work into features and stories, and coordinate development work across teams.
• Build relationships with key stakeholders and communicate effectively.
• Provide feature demonstrations to stakeholders and business partners.
• Manage product backlog and prioritize trade-offs between customer experience, business requirements, and technical limitations.
• Translate customer insights into actionable tasks.
• Partner with engineering teams to create requirements and user stories.
• Support integration testing and automation practices.
• Lead cross-functional meetings and influence capability outcomes positively.
Required:
• 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Business Analyst related to product development and Agile delivery
• 3+ years of experience working with stakeholders and partners gathering requirements and leading projects
• 3+ years of experience writing detailed User Stories and defining Acceptance Criteria
