Role: Senior Power BI Developer

Location: Santa Clara, CA(Hybrid 3-4 days/week)

Mandatory Skills: Power BI

Job Description:

1. Data Preparation and Integration

Data Extraction: Extract data from various sources (e.g., Data lake,Service now, SharePoint etc).

Data Transformation: Clean, transform, and enrich raw data to make it suitable for analysis.

Data Modeling: Design and create data models using Power Query and Power Pivot.

2. Report Development

Report Design: Create visually appealing reports and dashboards.

Interactive Visualizations: Build charts, graphs, tables, and KPI cards.

Drill-Down Functionality: Implement drill-through actions for deeper insights.

Custom Calculations: Write DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) formulas for custom calculations.

3. Performance Optimization

Query Performance: Optimize data retrieval queries for faster loading.

Report Performance: Enhance report rendering speed.

Data Compression: Reduce data model size while maintaining accuracy.

4. Collaboration and Documentation

Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business users to understand requirements.

Documentation: Document data sources, transformations, and report specifications.

User Training: Train end-users on report usage and best practices.

5. Troubleshooting and Maintenance

Error Handling: Address data refresh failures and resolve issues.

Version Control: Manage report versions and changes.

Security: Implement role-based security for data access.

6. Continuous Improvement

Stay Updated: Keep up with Power BI updates, new features, and best practices.

Feedback Loop: Gather feedback from users and iterate on reports.
