Location: Austin, TX (2 days of onsite required in a week).

Duration: 9+ Months

 

This requires a second in person interview at Texas Parks and Wildlife Headquarters in Austin, TX.

Local candidates required as the candidate is expected to be onsite for at least 2 days per work.

 

 

 

Description:

This Power Apps Developer must have a strong, hands-on, demonstrable background building and deploying custom applications using Microsoft Power Apps platform.

 

This low code developer is tasked with developing new and help maintain existing applications written in Microsoft Power Platform and includes technologies like Power Apps, Power Pages,  Power Automate, and other related technologies. This developer should possess prior experience with Dataverse and have utilized Connectors for Oracle and SQL Server databases, along with a solid understanding of how real-time and analytical systems can work together.

 

The key duties include development, and maintenance and also helping set up, design, develop, and mature the low code development platform and capabilities at TPWD. This role involves analyzing requirements, developing custom applications software, and helping throughout the lifecycle, conducting unit testing, using and recommending best practices, and producing documentation. The developer needs to have a big picture idea on how the various components work together and should provide guidance on how it could integrate with other TPWD processes and applications.

 

In this role, the developer interprets project requirements and implements and maintains the components in Microsoft Power platform and other related technologies; works with business personnel to understand the requirements and determine optimal solutions; develops the custom applications, provides after-hours support if needed; works under limited supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment; performs project-related additional duties as assigned; complies with all Agency, Division, and Branch rules, regulations, and procedures.

 

Required Skills:

8 Years of Experience in application development and maintenance, computer system analysis and testing in the field of information technology.

5 years of Experience in Microsoft Power platform

5 years of Experience with Microsoft Dataverse as storage, data modelling and management

5 years of Power App Custom application development with experience in Canvas and Model driven app

5 years of Power Pages

2 years of Power Fx Formula language

2 years of Restful APIs

2 years of JavaScript, TypeScript, C#, HTML, and JSON.

2 years of Microsoft Azure DevOps and other Azure Services

2 years of Pre-built and custom Connectors, and Gateways to connect to data sources securely.

 

Preferred skills:

5 years of Working in a project team environment, Agile Methodology

1 year of Power Automate RPA/DPA integration

1 year of Digital documents and invoice processing in Power Automate with AI Builder

1 year of Power BI Integration

1 year of Power Platform Developer Certification
