OT Network Analyst

Midland, Texas – Day One Onsite.

12+ Months Contract

Job Description:

Must haves:

Palo Firewall experience – heavy experience required as they are moving to Palo from Cisco
Cisco Firewall experience
Panorama – manages Palo firewalls – need this experience
FMC – manages Cisco firewalls – is good to have
will be doing heavy Firewall changes
MUST have Palo Firewall experience
MUST have Switches Experience
Good to have been Routers experience.

The successful candidate will be able to:

Act as a resource for reported network performance or application performance issues
Manage and support the network monitoring and configuration management software
Provide technical support for field networks to include industrial switches, routers, and wireless bridges
Utilize Apache’s service portal to manage and create service requests, outages, and change requests
Identify innovative ways to utilize existing applications and technologies
Forecast and coordinate management of change for scheduled maintenance weekends
Effectively communicate with end users and peers around the world.

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:

Troubleshooting experience with large enterprises
Strong written and verbal communication skills. The ability to clearly articulate complex issues
Customer interfacing capabilities
Experience with Cisco routers, switches, firewall and wireless hardware
Experience with SolarWinds Network Management suite of applications
Experience with Riverbed WAN optimization appliance, Cascade and Net Profiler is a plus
Experience with Gigamon, Wireshark and packet level analysis and application performance root cause analysis is a plus
Experience using Splunk to help with troubleshooting is a plus
Experience troubleshooting EIGRP, BGP, Firewalls, IPSEC/SSL VPNs, Spanning tree and network security
Experienced with software defined networking
Experience with Cisco ISE/NAC is a plus
Working knowledge of Cisco Collaboration products
Experience working in Oil and Gas Industry – specifically with field support technicians
