Job Description:
Team Management and Development
Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of mobile engineers (iOS and Android developers).
Foster a collaborative and high-performing engineering culture focused on quality and innovation.
Conduct regular one-on-ones, performance reviews, and career development planning.
Technical Leadership
Drive the architecture and technical direction of mobile application projects.
Ensure engineering best practices, including code reviews, testing standards, and performance optimization.
Stay updated on the latest mobile development tools, frameworks, and technologies, and incorporate them into project workflows where appropriate.
Agile Practices and Delivery
Act as a facilitator for agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and demos.
Ensure sprint goals are met and delivery pipelines are efficient and aligned with business needs.
Actively work to identify and remove impediments impacting team progress.
Monitor and report on sprint and release performance metrics.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Management
Partner with product owners, designers, and other stakeholders to define project requirements and prioritize the backlog.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams (e.g., backend, DevOps, QA) to ensure seamless integration and delivery.
Act as a technical liaison to stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of project progress, risks, and trade-offs.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields.
Experience:
10+ years in mobile application development with at least 3 years in a leadership role, such as Engineering Manager or Technical Lead.
Hands-on experience in iOS (Swift) or Android (Kotlin/Java) development.
Demonstrated experience in agile software development and managing large-scale projects.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in mobile architecture patterns (e.g., MVVM, Clean Architecture).
Familiarity with trunk-based development practices, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps tools.
Understanding of cloud services (AWS, Firebase, or Azure) and mobile backend integrations.
