Mobile Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mobile Application Architect with over 12 years of hands-on experience in mobile development, focusing on both iOS and Android platforms. The ideal candidate will lead the architectural design and strategic development of innovative mobile applications using the latest technologies, while ensuring high standards of security, performance, and usability.
1. Architecture & Design
- Design and develop scalable, maintainable, and high-performance mobile application architectures for both iOS and Android platforms.
- Evaluate and implement the latest mobile technologies and frameworks for hybrid (e.g., React Native, Flutter) and native (e.g., Swift, Kotlin) application development.
- Conduct thorough analysis and research to understand user needs, business requirements, and performance benchmarks.
2. Security & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to security best practices and standards throughout the application development lifecycle.
- Implement robust security measures to protect user data and maintain application integrity.
- Stay updated on mobile platform security threats and respond with effective mitigation strategies.
3. Performance Optimization
- Conduct performance analysis and optimize applications for speed, efficiency, and responsiveness.
- Utilize profiling tools and practices to identify bottlenecks and improve overall application performance.
4. Usability
- Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers to create user-friendly interfaces that enhance user engagement and satisfaction.
- Ensure applications meet accessibility standards and provide an inclusive user experience.
5. Team Leadership
- Mentor and guide development teams in best practices, design patterns, and coding standards specific to mobile development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product managers, designers, and backend developers) to ensure alignment and successful project delivery.
6. Code Review & Quality Assurance
- Oversee code reviews and maintain high-quality coding standards within the development team.
- Implement continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes to improve development efficiency and product quality.
7. Documentation & Communication
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for application architecture, design, and processes.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on project status, challenges, and timelines.
Primary Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 12+ years of experience in mobile application development with a strong emphasis on both iOS and Android platforms.
- Hands-on experience with the latest mobile tech stacks, including but not limited to Git, Objective-C/Swift, Java/Kotlin, React Native, Flutter, cloud messaging, APNS and RESTful APIs.
- Android Jetpack, Coroutines, Android studio & Firebase
- XML layouts, Jetpack compose, Material design, Accessibility best practices
- SwiftUI, Core Data, Xcode, CocoaPods
- Design patterns, MVC & MVVM
- Strong understanding of mobile design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
- Proficiency in mobile security practices and performance optimization techniques.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices in mobile development.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Knowledge in cloud and AWS is a plus
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud services and mobile back-end integration.
- Familiarity with tools like JIRA, Git, and automated testing frameworks.
- Knowledge of emerging mobile technologies and trends
