Hybrid – 3 days in office 2 days home
Potential Travel – % and Locations: 0-25 % – Peoria, Tucson
Daily Schedule (including any anticipated weekly/monthly OT): Mon-Friday , flexible starting times (Core hours 8am-3pm MST)
Job Description:
The main function of a mechanical engineer is to research and investigate the design, functionality and maintenance of mechanical products, equipment, systems and processes. A typical mechanical engineer has the ability to make engineering drawings, and read and interpret blueprints.
Job Responsibilities:
• Research, design, develop, manufacture, and test tools, engines, machines and other mechanical devices. Emphasis on Hydraulics.
• Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals to determine time and cost feasibility to complete projects.
• Assist drafters in developing the structural design of products using tools, equipment or software.
Skills:
• Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem solving ability.
• Team player and detail oriented.
• Ability to make sketches, engineering drawings and common computations.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawing, schematics and computer-generated reports. Understand hydraulic schematics.
• Previous experience with computer applications and software related to engineering field, such as Computer Aided Design (CAD).
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
2-4 years’ experience required.

Typical task breakdown:
Participate in receiving and tracking of multiple projects assigned by engineering team leader.
Design, detailing, research, supplier collaboration, cost analysis for hydraulics projects assigned to the individual
Participate in team collaboration meetings
Interaction with team:
Daily interaction, highly collaborative. Individual will work closely with team members and engineer lead to identify workload priorities, changes in work requirements, updates to standards, and customer needs.
Education & Experience Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (FIRM)
2-4 years’ experience
No Masters’s degrees
Internships will be counted
Technical Skills

Hydraulics experience 1 year minimum
CAD software experience (preferably CREO) – solid works
Print Reading
Manufacturing experience
(Desired)
3+ years hydraulics experience

Disqualifiers/Red Flags:
15+ years’ experience, master’s degree
