We are seeking an experienced Data Governance Consultant with over 8 years of hands-on experience in data cataloging tools. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in implementing and managing data governance frameworks, ensuring data quality, integrity, and accessibility. This position requires a deep understanding of data cataloging tools, data governance principles, and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Governance Strategy and Implementation:Develop and implement data governance strategies, policies, and procedures.
Ensure alignment of data governance initiatives with business goals and objectives.
Establish data governance frameworks and operating models.
Data Cataloging and Management:Utilize and manage data cataloging tools to organize and maintain metadata repositories.
Implement data cataloging solutions to ensure data is discoverable, accessible, and reusable.
Conduct data profiling and data quality assessments to maintain data integrity.
Stakeholder Collaboration:Collaborate with data stewards, data owners, and other stakeholders to establish data governance policies.
Work closely with IT and business teams to ensure data governance practices are integrated into business processes.
Provide training and support to stakeholders on data governance tools and best practices.
Data Quality and Compliance:Monitor and enforce data quality standards and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to data governance policies.
Develop and maintain data quality metrics and dashboards.
Documentation and Reporting:Document data governance processes, policies, and standards.
Prepare and present reports on data governance initiatives and progress to senior management.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of data assets and metadata.
Qualifications:

Bachelor s degree in Information Management, Computer Science, or a related field. Master s degree preferred.
8+ years of hands-on experience with data cataloging tools (e.g., Collibra, Alation, Informatica, IBM Watson Knowledge Catalog).
Strong understanding of data governance principles, frameworks, and best practices.
Proven experience in data management, data quality, and metadata management.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to data governance and data privacy (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
