Job Description:   

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Teradata Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Teradata solutions that meet business requirements. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs, design robust Teradata-based solutions, and ensure optimal performance and data integrity. This role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in Teradata tools and utilities, and the ability to troubleshoot and optimize queries.

Responsibilities:

· Design, develop, and implement Teradata solutions based on business requirements.

· Collaborate with business analysts and data architects to understand data requirements.

· Develop ETL processes using Teradata utilities like BTEQ, FastLoad, MultiLoad, and TPT.

· Write and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures for data extraction, transformation, and loading.

· Perform data profiling, validation, and quality checks to ensure data accuracy and completeness.

· Create technical documentation and specifications.

· Troubleshoot data and performance issues in Teradata environments.

· Conduct performance tuning and optimization of Teradata queries and processes.

· Stay updated with Teradata features, tools, and best practices.

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

· Proven experience as a Teradata Developer or similar role.

· Proficiency in Teradata SQL, BTEQ, FastLoad, MultiLoad, and TPT utilities.

· Experience with performance tuning and optimization techniques in Teradata.

· Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and methodologies.

· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

· Good communication and interpersonal skills.

· Relevant Teradata certifications (optional, but beneficial).

Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience with other databases and data warehousing technologies (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, Hadoop).

· Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Unix shell scripting).

· Familiarity with data modeling concepts (dimensional and relational).
