Job Title: Azure Architect
Location: Tallahassee, FL (Onsite)
Experience
2 – 3 years of strong professional experience as a Microsoft Azure cloud systems architect is required. 2 – 3 years of experience with other cloud providers, such as AWS or GCP is highly desired.
5 – 8 years of professional experience in information systems engineering or another related field is required.
5 years of professional experience supporting middleware such as API Management, IT Service Automation tools, and batch job
services is highly desired.
2 – 3 years of professional experience in the administration of Microsoft software is highly desired.
2 – 3 years of experience in Enterprise Architecture is required.
Primary Job Duties/ Tasks
The activities this candidate will be tasked with include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. Build and manage relationships in a matrixed environment.
2. Recommend and assist with the building and hosting of complex application solutions.
3. Understand, deploy, and manage Microsoft Azure and/or other cloud services.
4. Understand, deploy, and manage Microsoft Power Platform.
5. Find opportunities to refactor solutions to obtain better performance, cost, and efficiency.
6. Enhance FDOT’s infrastructure, application, and system monitoring solutions to prioritize system uptime.
7. Review, advise, and design based on risks, costs, benefits, and impact on the enterprise business process and goals.
8. Automate processes wherever possible.
9. Create and manage Azure DevOps projects, git repositories, and pipelines.
10. Oversee and configure Azure DevOps organizational settings.
11. Troubleshoot issues brought forth by developers and other architects.
12. Present to your peers on findings of new technologies, enterprise-wide issues, and enhancements you have made to better the FDOT mission.

11. Strong grasp of IT infrastructure and application development technology and architectures.
12. Strong grasp of Linux administration, including Linux patching.
13. Knowledge of assessment and analytical processes and practices.
14. Skill in strategic planning.
15. Skill in researching, compiling, and analyzing data to report findings and develop improvement solutions.
16. Skill in system administration and hosting across a wide range of solutions.
17. Ability to research, identify, and implement innovative solutions.
