About the Role: The ServiceNow platform Applications Developer’s primary responsibility will be to develop scoped applications , enablement of new modules, support enhancements, and the development of integrations that will leverage new and existing platform APIs. This applications developer will work with TPM’s and solution implementation consultants in order to build new solutions and processes, supporting maintenance, continual service improvement, and new capabilities on the ServiceNow platform.
About the Team: The Capacity Efficiency and Management (CEM) Team is responsible for multi-year capacity planning and the financial forecasting/budgeting associated with the long range plan. This includes the management of existing capacity and the associated budget for the organization. The team drives operational and improvement programs to achieve these top level deliverables.
What You’ll Do: (bullets of the main responsibilities on the assignment)
- Work on technical aspects of the ServiceNow application integrating with other internal uber business solutions and interfaces.
- This role involves configuring, developing, implementing and troubleshooting out of box features and custom features in the servicenow platform
- Support all technical aspects and tool solution delivery, including application UI configuration, workflow configuration, scripting, API, and system integration of ServiceNow with other business applications (e.g.,Jira, Internal PtP Systems, Active Directory, SSO, automated system monitoring tools, etc.)
- Create and maintain API and data integrations between ServiceNow and other services
- Need to work independently with Uber Developers (peer development teams working on integration development with servicenow team ) .
- Design, create, configure Portal pages
- Develop ATF test cases when necessary from acceptance criteria.
- Initiate and Collaborate with product stakeholders to understand the requirement , interface with non-IT customers and IT SMEs, analyze and provide solutions to meet business requirements and to technical problems
Basic Qualifications: (All skills, both technical and soft, required to be successful in the role)
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, a similar technical discipline, or comparable industry experience
- 4 to 6 years in ServiceNow configuration and development experience
- Servicenow Certification – ServiceNow Certified Application Developer
- Demonstrated proficiency with the use and management of APIs and in Servicenow Portal design
Preferred Qualifications: (job-related education, training, experience,and other criteria that are in addition to the Basic Qualifications)
- Experience working in an Agile or DevOps development environment
- Significant experience defining solutions, implementing, maintaining, and/or supporting integrated computing environments in an enterprise environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills and effective communication skills are necessary to be able to translate technical information to non-technical audiences
- Effective organization, collaboration, planning, problem solving, and analytical skills
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
