Position Overview
The State of Michigan is seeking a Programmer Analyst 5 to join a dynamic team of developers dedicated to building custom applications and innovative solutions. This role is ideal for a developer passionate about creating performant, usable, and accessible digital experiences.
The successful candidate will collaborate closely with business stakeholders and product owners to understand needs and deliver solutions to complex business problems. This is a hybrid position requiring onsite presence two days a week (Monday and Tuesday).
Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with stakeholders to derive and document functional requirements and specifications.

Develop application logic in both a .NET service tier and an Angular frontend.

Create data access logic using Entity Framework and MS SQL.

Ensure adherence to branching and merging strategies for version control.
Required Skills & Experience

3+ years of experience creating C# MVC web services.

3+ years of experience building applications using Angular.

Proficiency with .NET Core.

Strong understanding of branching and merging strategies.
Interview Process

Virtual Interview via Microsoft Teams video.

Candidates must use a laptop and be prepared to share their screen if requested.

A vendor representative must be present at the beginning of the interview to validate the candidate.

Duration: 1 year with the possibility of extension.

Location Requirement: Candidates MUST be local at the time of submission. Relocation is not supported.
