JOB TITLE: Graphic Designer The scope of the proposed services will include the following: • Meet with State staff to determine the scope of a project; • Advise State on strategies to reach a particular audience; • Determine the message the design should portray; • Create images that identify a product or convey a message; • Develop graphics for logos and websites; • Select colors, images, text style, and layout; • Present the design to State; • Incorporate changes recommended by the State into the final design; • Review designs for errors before printing or publishing them; • Ensure that coding standards are met; optimizing the web architectures for navigability and accessibility; • Utilize specialized graphic design software to prepare designs; Expertise and/or relevant experience in the following areas are mandatory: • Bachelor’s degree • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, analytical skills, and familiarity with a range of computer software • Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail • Strong Excel skills required, including data modeling and ad hoc analysis • Available to work from Baton Rouge, LA on a regular basis 13 Expertise and/or relevant experience in the following areas are desirable but not mandatory: • Ability to discern key themes within large, complex datasets • Application of specialized skills within a government agency environment • Skilled in project design and management • Capability with PowerBi and PowerAutomate • Experience in data visualization, especially for external audiences.
