Job Description:

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Guidewire Developer with expertise in Guidewire Policy Center to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing insurance solutions using the Guidewire suite. This position requires strong technical proficiency, a deep understanding of insurance domain workflows, and hands-on experience with Policy Center configurations and integrations.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, customize, and implement solutions in Guidewire Policy Center to meet business requirements.

Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and stakeholders to gather and understand requirements.

Configure and maintain Guidewire Policy Center components, including product models, rating engines, workflows, and rules.

Design and implement integrations between Policy Center and other systems using Guidewire APIs and GX Model.

Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in the Policy Center platform and associated components.

Develop unit tests and support QA teams during testing phases.

Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers and other team members.

Maintain documentation of system configurations, customizations, and best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

3+ years of hands-on experience with Guidewire development, specifically in Policy Center.

Proficiency in Guidewire configuration and integration development using GOSU scripting.

Strong knowledge of Guidewire Data Model, Policy Center workflows, and product design.

Experience with Java, J2EE, or related programming languages.

Familiarity with web services (REST, SOAP), XML, and JSON.

Proficiency in using development tools such as IntelliJ IDEA, Jenkins, Git, and Maven.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

Guidewire Certification in Policy Center is highly desirable.

Experience with Guidewire Cloud and DevOps tools.

Familiarity with other Guidewire products such as Billing Center or Claims Center.

Background in the property and casualty insurance domain.

Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
