Title: Sr. Data Analyst
Location: West Creek 2: 2nd Floor (Richmond, VA)
Schedule: Mon & Fri remote/Tue-Thu onsite
Visa: NO OPT and CPT
Duration: approx. 12 mos. (contract only) possibility to extend
Interview: 45 minutes zoom video interview w/ Gautam & Doug, must share screen for SQL inquiry assessments & job/team fit & ability to tell compelling stories
Ex- Cap1 required
Degree/Certs: not a must
Why is this open: backfill for a previous contractor approaching their two years
Day to Day: data standardization and governance efforts, making sure data is well managed, helping to develop production pipelines, serving as a data consultant for ad hoc analytics that come in from the TA org, stakeholders, and partners
Other Notes:
· Previous Capital One experience will be given preference and his highly preferred
· Data Visualization – Tableau or Quicksight would be nice to have
· 2-3 years in Data Analysts roles (preferably at Capital One)
· HR experience more important than Finance (if they had to pick an industry/background)
Job Qualification:
· Must have:
o SQL (filtering, aggregations) – warehousing
o strong communication skills (written & oral)
o interacting w/ other team members and business partners who may not be as data fluent who rely on analysis for root cause & problem solving
