Job Title: Cyber Application Security Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

Work as a member of this team, review pre-change firewall requests ensuring the requested updates adhere to policies and standards.
Perform audits on existing firewall policies post change ensuring what was requested has been staged.
Identify potential risk submitting findings for other Cyber-security groups to track remediation with application owners.
Maximize workflow, accessibility, and document sharing via customized solutions using SharePoint.
Design, create, and maintain flows, actions, and triggers.

Skills and Experience Required:

Required:

5+ years of proven experience in firewall administration and management, with a strong understanding of network security principles, protocols, and standards.
5+ years of proven in-depth knowledge of firewall technologies (such as Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, etc.), experience with rule configuration, and audit.
Familiarity with governance frameworks and standards (such as NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, etc.).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess complex network configurations and security requirements.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field is preferred.
Relevant certifications (such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or vendor-specific certifications) are highly desirable.
