Azure SQL Senior Support Engineer (AI Cloud)

Key Responsibilities:

Azure Expertise:
- Azure VM Deployment: Proficient in deploying and managing Azure Virtual Machines (VMs).
- Monitoring & Alerting: Configure and manage Azure monitoring services, including setting up alerts and notifications for critical events.
- Terraform: Extensive experience in scripting and deploying infrastructure using Terraform.
CICD Pipelines: Hands-on experience in implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for deployments and configuration management.
Application Support:
- Provide proactive and reactive support for applications hosted on Azure VMs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to application performance, availability, and security.
- Manage incidents effectively, including timely identification, diagnosis, and resolution.
SQL Server Expertise:
- In-depth knowledge of SQL Server administration, including database design, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with SQL Server high availability and disaster recovery solutions.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including development, operations, and security.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Required Skills & Experience:

Azure: Deep understanding of Azure services, including VMs, networking, storage, and monitoring.
Terraform: Proven experience in writing and maintaining Terraform scripts for infrastructure provisioning.
CICD: Strong knowledge of CI/CD principles and experience with tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI.
SQL Server: Advanced knowledge of SQL Server administration, including database design, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
Scripting: Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
Troubleshooting: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to various stakeholders.
Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

Experience with Azure SQL Database and Azure Data Factory.
Experience with cloud security best practices and security certifications.
Experience with Agile development methodologies.
Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as ELK stack, Splunk, or Datadog.
