We have an exciting opportunity for the role Hadoop / YARN Developer Location: Sunnyvale, CA (Onsite). Attached is the job description for your review. 

Job Summary:

Technical Expertise:
– Strong understanding of YARN, Hadoop, and related big data technologies.
– Experience with Spark, Hive, and other data processing engines running on YARN.
– Proficient in resource management practices and familiarity with managing large-scale computing clusters.

– Programming Language : Python

Communication Skills:
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
– Ability to simplify complex technical concepts and convey them to varied audiences.

Community Focus:
– Experience in building and sustaining developer communities.
– Passion for helping developers succeed and a customer-focused mindset.

Collaborative Spirit:
– Proven ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, product, and marketing teams.
– Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:
– Prior experience in a Developer Advocate role or similar capacity.
– Experience with containerization technologies and running applications in containerized environments.
– Knowledge of Uber’s internal tools and processes, particularly those related to big data.
