We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced MDG Business Partner Functional and Integration Consultant to join our team midway through a critical MDG implementation project. This role is essential for ensuring the seamless integration of our MDG Business Partner solution with other systems and the effective governance of Business Partner data. You will work closely with business stakeholders, IT teams to deliver a robust and integrated MDG Business Partner solution.
Must Have Required Skills and Experience:
12 Years + Proven experience as an MDG Business Partner Functional and Integration Consultant, ideally multi-vendor with experience in mid-implementation scenarios.
Strong understanding of MDG data modeling, workflows, UI customization, and integration technologies (e.g., IDocs, APIs, web services, SOA).
Experience with SAP ERP and other relevant systems (e.g., CRM).
Knowledge of data migration and cleansing best practices, especially concerning integration aspects.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
SAP MDG certification is a plus.
Responsibilities:
Integration Design and Development: Contribute to the design, development, and configuration of integrations between the MDG Business Partner solution and other systems (e.g., Coupa). This includes understanding existing integrations and contributing to new ones using various integration technologies (e.g., IDocs, APIs, web services). You’ll need to adapt to the project’s current integration architecture.
Functional Configuration: Configure the MDG Business Partner solution based on business requirements, focusing on data modelling, workflows, UI customization, and integration-specific settings. This will require understanding the work already completed and adapting to the project’s current direction.
Requirements Gathering and Analysis: Elicit and analyse business requirements related to Business Partner data governance and integration needs, ensuring these are translated into effective MDG configurations and integration specifications. This will require understanding the work already completed and adapting to the project’s current direction.
Testing and Quality Assurance: Develop and execute test cases to validate the MDG solution and its integrations, ensuring they meet business requirements and function as expected. This will involve working within the project’s established testing methodology, with a focus on end-to-end integration testing.
Training and User Support: Develop and deliver training materials and provide ongoing support to end-users on the MDG Business Partner solution, especially regarding integration-related functionalities and data flow.
Change Management: Support the change management process, ensuring smooth adoption of the MDG solution and its new integrated processes by business users. This will involve understanding the current change management plan and contributing to its success.
Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the MDG Business Partner solution and its integrations, working closely with the implementation partner and IT teams.
Documentation: Maintain and update relevant documentation, including functional specifications, integration designs, configuration guides, and user manuals, with a focus on integration-related aspects.
Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with business stakeholders, IT teams, and the implementation partner to ensure project success, especially regarding integration points and dependencies. This will require strong communication and interpersonal skills.
