JD:
- Install and upgrade WebSphere Application Server (WAS) Network Deployment 8.5.5.x,9.50.5.x and Liberty Profile 22.0.0x and above.
- Configure application servers and deployment managers for optimal performance.
- Apply fix packs and interim fixes to maintain up-to-date WAS environments.
- Design and configure WAS clusters to ensure high availability and load balancing.
- Set up and manage dynamic clustering, session persistence, and failover capabilities.
- Monitor and tune performance using AppDynamics and Azure Monitor.
- Implement security best practices, including SSL/TLS certificate management and secure communications.
- Perform regular security assessments and patch updates to meet compliance requirements.
- Diagnose and resolve performance, application, and server issues effectively.
- Analyze logs and utilize monitoring tools to pinpoint root causes of issues.
- Collaborate with development teams for efficient troubleshooting and problem resolution.
- Develop and maintain clear, comprehensive documentation for configurations and procedures.
- Create standard operating procedures (SOPs) for common administrative tasks.
- Leverage Azure VM experience to optimize cloud-based WAS environments.
- Set up, monitor, and manage WebSphere servers on Azure VMs, ensuring seamless cloud operations.
- Configure network settings, load balancing, and clustering within Azure cloud environments.
- Familiarity with Linux OS and scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Python) for automation and task management.
- Possess foundational knowledge of networking principles and load balancing techniques.
- Demonstrate strong cloud experience, particularly in Azure environments, to support and scale WebSphere deployments.
- Install and configure IBM HTTP Server 8.5.5x and above (IHS) to work with WebSphere Application Server on Linux platforms.
- Configure the plugin-cfg.xml file to enable communication between IHS and WebSphere Application Server clusters.
- Set up SSL/TLS certificates for secure communication on IBM HTTP Server.
- Enable load balancing and failover using the WebSphere plugin within IBM HTTP Server.
- Optimize performance through caching configurations and fine-tuning of HTTP server settings.
- Implement security best practices, including setting access controls and securing directory structures.
- Monitor and analyze IHS logs for troubleshooting and performance optimization.
- Regularly update and patch IBM HTTP Server to ensure stability and security compliance.
- Configure custom error pages and logging levels to enhance monitoring and user experience.
