Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Cisco R&S Network Engineer to join our team in Brooklyn, NY. This is a long-term contract position requiring a strong understanding of Cisco Routing and Switching technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain complex network infrastructures, including LAN, WAN, and data center networks.
- Configure and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, and other network devices.
- Implement and maintain routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP) and switching protocols (VLANs, STP, VTP).
- Optimize network performance, including throughput and latency.
- Troubleshoot network issues, including performance bottlenecks and security breaches.
- Document network configurations, procedures, and diagrams.
- Collaborate with network teams to ensure network reliability and security.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Strong proficiency in Cisco IOS and NX-OS.
- Deep understanding of routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP) and switching protocols (VLANs, STP, VTP).
- Experience with network security concepts, including ACLs and firewall configurations.
- Arista CVP/AVD; this exp. will be a big advantage.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- CCNP Routing and Switching certification preferred.
