Operations Research Specialist

Job Description:
- 10+ years of experience in operations research, preferably in the semiconductor or high-tech industry.
- Proficiency in optimization techniques, statistical analysis, and simulation tools.
- Expertise in mathematical modeling, linear/non-linear programming, and stochastic processes.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or C++.
- Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
- Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing processes (e.g., wafer fabrication, lithography).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with machine learning techniques and their application to operational challenges.
- Knowledge of ERP systems like SAP or MES systems in semiconductor manufacturing.
- Certifications in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or similar methodologies.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field. A Ph.D. is preferred.
Responsibilities :-
- Optimization and Modeling:
- Develop and implement mathematical models and algorithms to solve complex operational problems in semiconductor manufacturing and supply chain.
- Perform linear, non-linear, integer programming, and simulation modeling to improve production efficiency.
- Data Analysis and Decision Support:
- Analyze large datasets to identify inefficiencies, trends, and areas for improvement.
- Provide data-driven recommendations to leadership to support strategic planning and operational decision-making.
- Supply Chain and Production Planning
- Optimize production schedules, inventory levels, and supply chain networks to minimize costs and meet demand.
- Identify and mitigate bottlenecks in the production process to maximize throughput.
- Process Improvement
- Design and test strategies for process improvements and automation in wafer fabrication, packaging, and testing.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to implement new processes and monitor their effectiveness.
- Tool Development and Integration
- Develop and maintain tools that integrate with existing systems to support real-time decision-making and planning.
- Ensure alignment with industry standards and compliance requirements.
- Collaboration and Communication
- Partner with engineers, IT professionals, and business teams to align operations research projects with business goals.
- Present findings and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
