Data Engineer with SQL – Only Locals Needed

Role: Data Engineer with SQL

Location: Charlotte, NC
Duration: Long Term Contract

Responsibilities:

• Design and build data pipelines: Develop scalable and efficient data pipelines to ingest, process, and transform large volumes of data from various sources.
• Data extraction and transformation: Use SQL and other tools to extract data from databases and transform it into a format suitable for analysis.
• Data warehousing: Design and maintain data warehouses to store and manage data efficiently.
• Data quality assurance: Implement processes to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Optimize data systems: Continuously improve data systems for better performance and scalability.
• Troubleshoot and debug: Identify and fix issues in data pipelines and systems to ensure smooth data flow.
   

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in data engineering, with a strong focus on SQL.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, data warehousing, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, and familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark)..
