BOM Engineer Management 

Role Description:

Prepare test procedure/assembly instructions for in-house processing. · Perform Design for Manufacturing · Release of Parts/assemblies/BOM’s to production · Initiate Engineering change orders and execute them to closure · Suggest part design changes if required. · Planning tooling/fixtures required for assembly. · Conduct and/or supervise tests and prepare reports of test results. Analyze test data to determine if process meets functional and performance specifications · Prepare and supervise preparation of release documentation for final designs in accordance with standards. · Provide engineering support and direction for transition of design to manufacturing · Provide support for NPI Product Transfer to manufacturing · Creation of SOP documentation and providing Validation support.

Experience (Years):

Essential Skills:

Experience in Design Change Documentation, BOM Change Management, Product Testing, Supplier coordination, ProductTransfer, SOP Creation and Validation support. • Knowledge in understanding and interpreting Engineering drawing, Bill of Material, material, finish analysis and creating detailed drawings that are compliant with ASME dimensioning and tolerance standards. • Experience in general Engineering Change Management processes and First article evaluation. • Strong documentation, communication and interpersonal skills with fluency in English reading and writing. • Good interpersonal skills to interact with engineering and manufacturing teams • Ability to work independently and on cross-functional teams. • Good analytical and problem-solving skills. • Good to have SolidWorks modeling of Machined, Plastic and Sheet metal components for Mechanical resource.

Desirable Skills:

Project planning, monitoring and status reporting.
