Overview
This individual will support the department in completing a board-approved annual audit plan and assist in completing control testing for various audits.
Experience
The candidate should possess 2-5 years of audit experience and work on financial, operational, and compliance-type audits.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist in conducting audits and reviews, including assessing risks, evaluating internal control design and effectiveness, executing audit programs and work plans, and performing fieldwork, testing, and data analysis.
• Ensures compliance with established internal control procedures by examining records, reports, operating practices, and documentation.
• Prepare work papers and reports consistent with audit plan procedures, with a high level of technical accuracy, grammatical accuracy, and structure, in adherence to the department’s procedures and methodology.
• Provide updates to management on the status of assigned work, including immediate communication of any issues or challenges.
• Communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
• Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
Specific Skill Set:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in MS Office Suite. Intermediate-level use of MS Excel.
Data analytics tools (e.g., Qlik Sense, SQL) are preferred but not required.
