Job Title–Network Architect

Duration–8 Month

Location: Richmond, VA (Remote with Required onsite for quarterly meetings)

Rate : $55 – 60/hr on C2C (Not Negotiable)

 

Job Description–

It is an architect role with 7 years not 15 years exp so this would be a mid-architect.   

Position Overview:
This role involves strategic planning, design, and implementing secure, efficient network solutions aligned with organizational goals, providing documentation, guidance, and best practices for future network enhancements.

Duties:

·         Document comprehensive network designs that integrate multiple network technologies, such as LANs, WANs, wireless networks, and VPNs,to support the organizations business operations and communication needs.

·         Design and document the entire network implementation process

·         Monitoring network performance and taking follow-up steps to resolve latency issues and security concerns

·         Performing regular network upgrades to create greater efficiency

·         Creating documentation throughout the design and deployment process for future reference

·         Develop patterns and standards for all network designs

·         The ability to analyze data traffic and system performance to determine future upgrades.

·         Work with our IT staff and thirds-party equipment and software vendors to ensure the network needs are met.

·         Research new technologies and solutions, and asses new technologies for adoption

·         Define multisite network operations and software applications.

·         Train, mentor, and transfer skills to the extended team.

·         Works on highly complex projects that require in-depth knowledge across multiple specialized architecture domains and networking layers.

·         Aligns architecture strategy with business goals.

·         Defines, explains, and advocates technology strategy.

 

Required Skills:

·         7 years of experience in technical design and architecture around network equipment and network software systems.

·         7 years of experience in handling issues that arise with large networks, prioritize network security and compliance, understanding security protocols, firewalls

·         7 years of experience with Network Security Frameworks and Best Practices, Cloud Networking and Virtualization Technologies, Internet of Things (IoT) Infrastructure and Protocol

·         7 years of experience with Project data and documentation tools & experience with developing network design documentations and presentations using VISIO

·         5 years of experience in design, build and maintain multi-tier networks

·         5 years of experience with Advanced Network Design and Architecture planning, proficiency in Network Simulation and Modeling Tools

·         5 years of experience conducting site assessment of current remote site WAN/LAN/WLAN environments, identifying network problem areas and develop hierarchical based network design

·         5 years of experience designing and implanting multiple global Azure cloud solutions to support revenue generation.

·         Worked to move key servers to cloud based services.
