Job Title: certified Product Owner

Work Location: Washington DC, no remote option

 

Must Have:

  • certified Product Owner with hands on experience in Safe Agile.
  • Candidate must go to office in.
  • Candidate must be from banking and financial services domain.
  • experienced and SAFe certified POPM, preferably with experience in banking and financial services domain
  • At least 6 years of experience in banking domain

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 8 years of experience in Information Technology
  • Must be a Safe certified POPM – Certificate to be shared along with profile evaluation.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Prior experience working in SAFe Lean Enterprise Agile Framework.
  • Develop and execute a product strategy for the Financial Services vertical that solves key member problems but also aligns with strategy of the Bank.
  • Lead the entire product lifecycle of products, from ideation to launch, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
  • Define and prioritize the product roadmap, making data-driven decisions to enhance user experience and engagement.
  • Communicate product vision, strategy, and progress to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven track record of successfully launching and managing digital consumer products
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to drive decision-making
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Deep understanding of user experience principles and product design, specifically for insurance products
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Passion for financial technology and empowering individuals to improve their financial health through innovative solution
  • Act as Voice of the Customer internally, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to discover and analyse customer needs and shape these into clearly defined hardware and software requirements.
  • Work with other Product Managers to prioritize the Product Backlog to ensure that all Product Backlog items are consistently scoped and sized to enable fair and timely prioritization.
  • Experience in coordinating and facilitating software development sessions and teams including JAD, RAD, Distribution Resource Planning (DRP), SAFe 4.0 and 5.0, Agile Scrum and Kanban.
  • Hands on experience in using ALM of tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps. Kanban board, tracking of milestones etc.
  • Ensure the team has a clear understanding of the vision and roadmap during both PI Planning and PI Execution.
  • Actively participate in Agile Release Train (ART) Backlog refinement.

Concepts and its application in – defining Objectives and Key results, definition of ready, definition of done for Epics, Features, User stories, INVEST framework, techniques for prioritization and sizing of features and user stories (T-shirt sizing, MOSCoW, WSJF, story points etc.) etc.
